Day One
Morning
Rafting Rio Futaleufú - Bridge to Macal Section
Today you will be picked up from your chosen accommodation within Futaleufú prior to 9am to then head to the put in of the Bridge to Macal section for your first taste of the Futaleufú River.
Bridge to Bridge is the heart of the Futaleufú river about 9 kilometres and 14 Rapids of intense and continuous Class IV whitewater this is the classic section of the Futaleufú.
Rapids like Entrada, Tobogán, Pillow Rock, Toro and the famous Mundaca will keep your adrenalin flowing from start to finish.
We won't stop there!! We will step it up continue under the second bridge and hit two Class V rapids, Mas o Menos and Casa De Piedra. Casa de Piedra being Mauricio's favourite rapid on the river.
From the river you can see the magic of the Andes with big forests, glaciers and waterfalls with condors flying around the peaks.
Picnic Lunch and Drinks will be provided at the take out.
Afternoon
Hike to Piedro del Águila
This afternoon we zigzag our way up through the forest to Piedra Del Aguila where you can sit perched like an eagle and be rewarded with a beautiful view of the Espolón Valley, Noroeste River and Lake Rosa.

Day two

Rafting Rio Futaleufú - Terminator to Macal Section
Today is the ultimate rafting trip this is the BEST White Water Section in the World.
We start with the Terminator section, where you find rapids like Asleep at the Wheel, Terminator, Kipper Pass and Himalayas.
The Terminator - Class V - is the longest, biggest and the most intimidating rapid on the river! With the reputation of exterminating the first expedition on the Futaleufú in 1985. The terminator is on of the biggest rapids you can run in the world.
Straight after that you have Kipper pass another big rapid - Class IV - and to finish that section we have the Himalayas which are the biggest standing waves on the river.
Then we will keep flowing onto the bridge to Macal section to have another taste of the heart of the Futaleufú.
Picnic Lunch and Drinks on the side of the river included.

Day three

Hiking - Futaleufú Reserve
The Futaleufú reserve was created in 1998 to protect the cypress of the Mountain range and Huemul (native dear). The reserve is accessed from the rural sectors of Rio Chico and Las Escalas.
This beautiful hike lets us enjoy gorgeous Lena forests with 6 lookouts allowing us to absorb the shear beauty of this landscape.
The Hike takes approximately 4 Hours.
Afternoon
Float Trip - Espolón
Lets calm the heart rate today and conserve some energy as we enjoy a casual float down the Espolón river taking in the breath taking scenery surrounding us.
Day four

Hiking - Cero Teta
Todays hike is one of the most rewarding hikes you'll do. Cerro Teta is a prominate peak you can see from the township of Futaleufú and sits at 1,800m above sea level.
It is located in the Northwest sector and Espolón Lake . This hike is of medium to high intensity with trekking and rock scrambling.
Upon reaching the summit you will be rewarded with 360 degree views of the Andes Mountains and surrounding valleys, rivers and lakes within the area. It will take your breath away, it did for us the first time we did it and still does today.
Alex our local hiking guide (Spanish speaker ) and Sharon from Australia will both be on this trip guiding you.

Day five

Rafting - Las Escalas, Wild Mile
Traditional Asado Dinner
Today we put in at Las Escalas and float down to Zeta the first of two portages. See the power of this river as it travels through a z shaped bend shooting 16" rafts high in the air as the boys work to get the rafts safely through for you to board once again. You then float down to Throne another mandatory portage, you will see why! No one wants to end up in the toaster. After this you will have a Mile of Wild White Water action in the Wild Mile.
Picnic Lunch and Drinks Included
Get off the river and drive back to Futaleufú to shower and refresh for a Traditional Patagonian Asado to end this amazing adventure. Share stories and laughs over a Chilean wine around the fire with your new friends.
